We are proud to share that our Sabha Sajjad-Hazai participated as a lead contributor at the symposium What Have We Learned a Decade Since the Zero Tolerance Act?
Reimagining Law as a Shared Pursuit of Justice under Canada’s Pluralism in Marriage Formation, held on June 8, 2026, at the McGill Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism and sponsored by the Law Commission of Canada.
Sabha took part in the afternoon workshop, Building Bridges and Models of Shared Responsibility, contributing to discussions on restorative and transformative justice models and on DEI-trauma-informed lawyering alongside community, legal, and government leaders. Drawing on more than 20 years of progressive leadership, spanning interfaith community engagement, family law, and gender-based violence advocacy, Sabha brought a grounded, community-centred perspective to these conversations.
In 2025, she helped launch the Muslim Women’s Legal & Community Support Clinic, leading its legal team and strategic direction. She is back in private practice at Clarity Law Group, focusing on family and estate litigation as well as real estate law and litigation.
