Law Leadership Coaching and Training Programs
DEI Trauma-Informed Lawyering Training for Lawyers & Legal Professionals
Why I Created This Training
As a practicing litigation lawyer and appointed deputy judge serving in Ontario, I have spent my career understanding and navigating the legal system. I have witnessed its strengths and its gaps. I have seen how systemic barriers, historical inequities, and institutional biases affect members of society and in particularly those facing family law disputes or human rights challenges.
Witnessing this inspired me to advocate for, launch and lead Canada’s first faith-based wraparound legal clinic Canadian Muslim Women to provide holistic legal support to underserved family law and human rights litigants. I have built it from the ground up and designed services that integrate legal guidance, emotional support, and culturally and faith-sensitive care to help ensure clients are empowered to make informed legal decisions, seen, heard, and supported at every stage.
That experience showed me firsthand how trauma, cultural misunderstandings, and systemic inequities impact legal outcomes and more importantly why legal professionals and the justice system needs tools to respond with cultural humility, empathy, equity, and insight.
